Active noise reduction is a noise reduction technology, which is one of the noise reduction methods applied to earphones. In order to actively eliminate noise, people have invented the technology of "active noise elimination".
The essence of sound is vibration. When two completely identical sound waves meet, they will overlap each other to form a sound wave with a higher volume. However, if two acoustic waves with opposite vibration directions meet together, they will cancel each other out. Active noise reduction headphones utilize this principle.
There is a microphone on the outside of the earphone that continuously collects noise from the environment. The chip inside the earphone will analyze the collected noise and generate an anti noise that is opposite to the noise acoustic wave. When the noise eventually propagates to the vicinity of the earphone speaker, the earphone speaker can play the anti noise to cancel out the noise, thereby achieving the purpose of noise reduction.
