What is an image sensor?

Image sensor is a device used to capture and convert optical signals into electrical signals. It is a key component of modern technology products such as digital cameras, mobile phone cameras, surveillance cameras, and medical imaging equipment. Image sensors are usually composed of several pixels, each containing a photodiode and a capacitor that stores charges. When light strikes a pixel, the photodiode converts photons into electrons, which are amplified and converted into digital signals, forming an image.

Image sensors are widely used in fields such as video surveillance technology, medical imaging, and machine vision. High quality image sensors can provide higher resolution, better sensitivity, and dynamic range, while also improving imaging relativity and image quality.

In today's rapidly developing high-tech field, image sensors are also constantly upgrading. They can not only capture images, but also perform video recording, facial recognition, virtual reality and other operations, making human life more intelligent and convenient.
